Dr. Zahir Othman
Dr. Zahir Othman heads the Center and oversees the work of all departments. Dr. Zahir is an architect with extensive experience in the Kingdom’s public and private sectors. He worked for 16 years at the Arriyadh Development Authority, the development and planning authority of the capital of Saudi Arabia, where he was the Director General for Planning and Programs. He then co-established al Turath (Heritage) Foundation and worked as its Director General for 16 years. He managed the restoration of numerous historic buildings in Saudi Arabia and produced several publications on Saudi heritage. In 2010, Dr. Zahir established Tarah International, a publishing, PR and events management company. He then worked as the Secretary General of Al Muallem Mohammad bin Laden Centre for Knowledge and Education, a center that extends support to academic institutions in Saudi Arabia and abroad.
